Throwback to My Very First Episode of Risk Intelligence.

Throwback to my very first episode of Risk Intelligence.
In this episode, I share how everything started. What began as daily reflection during my 40-minute commute turned into a desire to make insurance easier to understand for those outside the industry.
Before the podcast, there was “Monday Momentum,” where I created short, one-minute videos to share simple insurance insights. The feedback and unexpected recognition I received showed me that people truly want clarity when it comes to insurance.
That realization led me to create Risk Intelligence. A space where I can share experiences, answer common questions, and talk about real-life scenarios in the insurance world.
This episode is a look back at the beginning, the purpose, and the journey.
If you want to understand insurance in a simpler way, this is where it all started.

In this episode of Risk Intelligence, host Karen Adamsbaum explains what really happens behind the scenes when someone requests an insurance quote.
While many expect quick results, quoting often requires gathering key business details and going through underwriting, especially for more complex operations. Karen also shares why early quote requests before renewals don’t always move faster and how the typical 60–90 day underwriting window works.
Tune in to better understand the quoting process and set the right expectations when working with insurance agents and brokers. 🎙️
